B.F. Jones House

808 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Completed in 1910, for Benjamin Franklin Jones Jr. (1863-1928). Jones' father, who summered at Braemar Cottage, made a fortune as the one of the partners in the Jones & Laughlin Steel Company. At a cost of $375,000, the younger Jones' 42-room mansion was built over a period of two years by the architectural firm of Rutan & Russell. Standing on the corner of Ridge Avenue and Brighton Road, today it is known as Jones Hall and is part of the Community College of Allegheny County.
