The Dorilton

171 West 71st Street, Manhattan, New York

Built 1900-1902 in the French Baroque Second Empire style by architects Elisha Harris Janes and Richard Leopold Leo of New York, having been commissioned by real estate developer Hamilton M. Weed. The exterior of The Dorilton is striking and flamboyant which garners mixed opinions, but its position and its well-built and spacious apartments make it in an extremely sought-after luxury housing co-operative.
