Weymouth Hall

1 Cemetery Road, Natchez, Mississippi

Originally purchased by Colonel John Weymouth, it was built as seen today in 1852 for the Bullock family. The entire third floor of the three-story mansion was originally the ballroom, and during the Civil War, Union soldiers made it their headquarters in the area due tot he exceptional view it gave over the river and surrounding country. The house continued in the Zurhellen and Morton families - descendants of Mrs Weymouth - up until at least the 1940s. Today, it is operated as a bed-and-breakfast and is available as a venue.
