Adolphus Wilhelm Nolting (1799-1869)
Adolphus W. Nolting, Tobacco Exporter, of Richmond, Virginia
He was born at “Wieckride" near Minden in Prussia. He was a brother of Major Georg Friederich Nolting who fought with Hanoverian Army and was the grandfather of Frederick Nolting who in 1934 bought Rocky Mills that had been Adolphus' home from 1843 to 1863.
