Alphonso Taft (1810-1891)

Alphonso Taft, U.S. Attorney General & Secretary of War

He founded the Skull & Bones Society at Yale College. He was the Attorney-General and Secretary of War under President Ulysses S. Grant. He is the father of President William Howard Taft.
