Andrew Jackson (1737-1767)

Andrew Jackson, of Waxhaw, North Carolina

He was a Northern Irishman but his mother and grandparents are as yet still unknown. He and his wife emigrated from Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, acquiring a 200-acre farm at Waxhaw, North Carolina. They had three sons. Their youngest son, Andrew, became the 7th President of the United States.
