Mrs Anna Charlotte (DeLancey) McAdam
She was the eldest daughter of John and Elizabeth (Floyd) DeLancey. But, she was adopted by her father's childless sister, Anna DeLancey, and her husband who was her mother's uncle. She inherited all her mother's property, but the Jones estate, Fort Neck House, passed to her first cousin, David Richard Floyd-Jones. Her husband was the engineer who invented "tarmacadam" for surfacing roads.
