Cole Porter (1891-1964)

Cole Porter was the music behind the latter end of the American Gilded Age. Amply provided for by his grandfather ("the richest man in Indiana") he became one of the most iconic composers and lyricists of his era on Broadway and is still recognized today as one of the foremost musical geniuses of 20th century.
