Collis Potter Huntington (1821-1900)

Railroad Baron and "Big Four" Co-Founder of the Central Pacific Railway

He built the Huntington Mansion No. 2 57th Street & Fifth Avenue, New York City. He also kept “The Homestead” at Throggs Neck, Westchester Co., New York; and, the "Huntington Camp" at Camp Pine Knot on Racquette Lake in the Adirondacks. He was a founding member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
