Ellen (McInnis) McAlpin (1801-1831)
Mrs Helen or Ellen (McInnis) McAlpin
She was the daughter of Joseph McInnis (1772-1851) who was born in Perthshire, Scotland, and settled in Charleston, South Carolina. Her mother, Dorothy Mary (1765-1833) was born in Hanover, Germany. In 1820, at Charleston, Ellen married Henry McAlpin. They were the parents of eight children (six listed above).
