James Henry Van Alen II (1902-1991)
"Jimmy" H. Van Alen II, President of the U.S. Lawn Tennis Association
He was educated in England at Christchurch College, Cambridge (1920). He Captained an Oxford-Cambridge team that beat Harvard & Yale. He was the inventor of the tie-break in the modern game of tennis and was described as, "a considerable personage who shines in any society".
