James McEvers (1763-1818)
James McEvers, Merchant, of New York City
He was married in 1802 to Ruth Hunter and had just one daughter, Elizabeth, who married Robert Bayard. For the benefit of Ruth's health, they travelled to Europe where she died while in Rome, Italy.
