Jarmani Dass (1901-1971)

He was alleged to have married Lemma Abed in the Punjab in 1926, but she later claimed her participation in the ceremony was, “mere social pleasantry”. Her fourth husband, Carl Fleischmann Holmes of New York, later claimed to have evidence that the marriage was never dissolved, making her a bigamist.
