John Cryder (1797-1866)
Wholesale Tea Importer, of Wetmore & Cryder, New York
He was born in Philadelphia and entered into the wholesale tea importing business with his wife's sister's husband (and first cousin), William S. Wetmore. He lived predominantly between Newport, Rhode Island, and England.
