Julia Romeyn (Zabriskie) Jones (1897-1931)

In 1931, Julia was still distraught four years after her husband had died in Italy. She locked herself in her bathroom in her apartment in Manhattan and while her mother was in the room next door, she threw herself out of the window and plunged 11-storeys to her death. The image shows her in fancy dress in 1915. She had three children.
