In 1920, in the Living Room of her parents' newly completed country home, Norwich House on Long Island, she married the World war I Flying Ace Lt. Howard Burdick. In this article for Airport Journals, her son described Katherine as, "very capable and self sufficient... She knew what she was doing. She was a wonderful woman."
