Lewis Grant Davidson (1779-1832)
Lewis Grant Davidson of Evermay, Georgetown
Born "Lewis Grant" in Scotland, he was sole heir to his unmarried uncle, Samuel Davidson who left him Evermay on the condition that he moved to Georgetown and took the surname of "Davidson". This he did. He married Eliza Crawford (dates unknown), who may have been a daughter of Richard R. Crawford (1801-1888), Mayor of Georgetown.
