Lion Gardiner (1878-1936)
of Ocean Avenue, East Hampton; 12th Proprietor of Gardiner's Island, New York
He died without children and sold Gardiner's Island to his cousin, David Lion Gardiner, a great-great-grandson of 4th Proprietor David Gardiner and whose wife, Sarah Gardiner Thompson, was a granddaughter of the 7th Proprietor.
