Louis M. Michels (1833-1910)
Louis M. Michels, Dry Goods Merchant, of New York City
He emigrated to New York from Germany at the age of eleven in 1844. In New York, he represented a large Californian dry goods firm with an office at 43 Leonard Street. He was the father of a son, Jesse Michels, and three daughters: Mrs Albert Lorsch, Mrs Isaac Stern, Mrs Gustave E. Strauss
