Richard Edmunds Pennoyer (1885-1968)
Richard E. Pennoyer, U.S. Secretary to the British Embassy, London
He married (1917) the Dowager Countess of Shrewsbury and became stepfather to the 21st Earl of Shrewsbury. They had one son by his wife, "Kim" who lived for many years in Kenya before his house was taken over and he was forced to return to England where he died unmarried. Richard's brother was married to a daughter of J.P. Morgan Jr. and he was a frequent guest at Wall Hall.
