Sir William Collis Meredith (1812-1894)
Q.C., D.C.L., Chief Justice of the Superior Court for the Province of Quebec
He was born at Dublin, Ireland. In 1866, he succeeded Edward Bowen as Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Quebec. He lived at 19 Ste-Ursule Street, "that extensive property (with) outbuildings and a cottage in the rear on St. Angele Street".
