Thomas Fitch (1700-1774)
Thomas Fitch IV, 29th Colonial Governor of Connecticut
He was born at Norwalk, Connecticut. He studied law and graduated from Yale in 1721. He was Chancellor, Judge of the Superior Court, and Chief Justice of Connecticut. He served as the 19th Colonial Governor of Connecticut from 1754 until 1766.
