Morris-Jumel Mansion

65 Jumel Terrace, Manhattan, New York

Built 1765, for Lt.-Col. Roger Morris (1727-1794) and his wife, Mary Philipse (1730-1825). The Morris-Jumel Mansion is one of only three Federal-period mansions left standing on Manhattan Island, the other two being the Hamilton Grange and the Gracie Mansion which are both written up in full. This is a work in progress.
