A. Murray Vaughan (1899-1986)
A. Murray Vaughan, C.C., Chairman of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts etc.
He was Chairman of British American Bank Note Company at Montreal. In 1930, he married Marguerite and through her he came to administer both the Hosmer and Pillow estates which included the Renaissance art collection started by Charles R. Hosmer. He became President of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (1963-1968) before returning to his native New Brunswick where he was Honorary Chairman of Fredericton's Beaverbrook Art Gallery. He was awarded with the Order of Canada.
