Clifton Ellis Wing (1848-1911)

He was born at the Hallowell House on Jamaica Plain. He studied medicine at Harvard University (M.D., 1871). He then went to Europe to travel and to further his medical knowledge. On his return, he established himself at Boston and specialized in gynaecology. He was a Member of the Norfolk County Society and the Massachusetts Medical Society and authored several articles. He died in 1911 at the house in which he was born and his wife continued to live there until her death in 1923.
