Henry P. Chapman (b.1811)

He was born at Newtown, Connecticut, and was the twin brother of William. After graduating from Cornell, the brothers established "an extensive" brokerage firm at 4 Broadway in New York City. They shared a house in Brooklyn before moving into Whitby Castle in Rye. On June 7, 1848, Henry married Rebeccah Hurlburt, of Rye, Westchester County, and they were the parents of two sons.
