He died young but was already noted as a talented architect famous for his design of Castle Rock and No.8 Thomas Street Building in Tribeca, Manhattan. He was commissioned to add the seventh story to the Jerome Mansion when it was the clubhouse for the Union League Club, though the plans never went ahead.
