John Kellum (1809-1871)

John Kellum, Architect, of New York

Born in Long Island, he trained as a carpenter was essentially a self-taught architect. He found an influential patron in A.T. Stewart and built both his store at 280 Broadway and his mansion on Fifth Avenue, the A.T. Stewart Mansion
