Robert Parker Parrott (1804-1877)
Inventor of the Parrott Rifle & Owner the West Point Iron & Cannon Foundry, N.Y.
His brother and business partner, Peter, sold the land on which E.H. Harriman built the historic Arden House. He and his wife died without children.
