Thomas Alexander Tefft (1826-1859)
Architect, of Providence, R.I., America's Leading Proponent of "Rundbogenstil"
He was born in Richmond, Rhode Island. After graduating from Brown University he established himself as an architect in Providence in 1851. In 1856, he left for a Grand Tour of Europe and in Italy he became an associate of the "First American Sculptor" Horatio Greenough.
