Richard Clough Anderson (1750-1826)

Lt.-Col. Richard Clough Anderson, of "Soldier's Retreat" Louisville, Kentucky

He fought at the Battles of Brandywine and Germantown and crossed the Delaware River with George Washington. He was A.D.C. to the Marquis de Lafayette at the Battle of Yorktown (1781). He was a charter member of the Society of Cincinnati and is the great-grandfather of Larz Anderson whose mansion in Washington D.C. (Larz Anderson House) is now the headquarters and museum of the Society of Cincinnati. He was married twice and had 9-children (listed above).
