Alexander Hamilton Morton (1806-1896)

of New York City & Long Island; Secretary of the New York Yacht Club

He was generally known as "Hamilton Morton" and was a lawyer in New York City. He became a Member of the New York Yacht Club in 1849 and was the club secretary from 1859 to 1871. He was elected an Honorary Member in 1876. After retiring from the legal profession he lived on Long Island. He died unmarried.
