Archibald Alexander McCall (1727-1799)

He was a slave trader in partnership with his brother, Samuel. He resided for the most part of his life in, "a large mansion on the northeast corner of Union and Second Street (Philadelphia) with a fine garden extending along Union Street". In 1772, he is mentioned as one of the 84-families that kept equipages (horses and carriages) and owned a "post-chaise". In 1762, he married Judith, daughter of Peter Kemble of Mount Kemble, President of the Colonial Council of New Jersey, and had 18-children.
