Benjamin Winthrop (1762-1844)

Co-Founder of the New York Stock Exchange

He was one of the 24 brokers who signed the Buttonwood Agreement (1792) which allowed for the creation of the New York Stock Exchange and is one of the most important financial documents in U.S. history.
