Francis Borland (1691-1763)
"Eminent Merchant" of Boston, Massachusetts
He was the only son his father and was named for his uncle, Rev. Francis Borland (1661-1722), Presbyterian Minister at Glassford, Lanarkshire, who arrived in New England in 1682. and for five years (1685-1690) ministered at Suriname.
