Gerardus Stuyvesant (1691-1777)
Peter Gerard Stuyvesant, Magistrate, of New York City
He was born in New York City. Just as his father had done before him, he followed various mercantile pursuits in connection with the management of his extensive estates. He also represented the Out Ward as Alderman from 1722 to 1753. He married Judith, daughter of Balthazar Bayard, and 2-sons survived to adulthood.
