John Page (1628-1692)
Col. John Page, of Middle Plantation, Williamsburg, Virginia
He was born in England at Belfont in Middlesex County. As an agent of the Royal African Company he received a 7% commission on every slave he sold. He enslaved numerous people on his properties and the family continued the practice on their many plantations, notably at Rosewell. He married Alice Lukin who died at Williamsburg and they had two sons (listed above).
