Louise (Wise) Francis (1895-1937)

She inherited a fortune from her aunt, Mary Lily Kenan, widow of one of the original partners of Standard Oil, Henry Morrison Flagler. As such, in 1918 she came in at 23rd (tied with James B. Duke, Jacob Schiff, George Eastman, Louis F. Swift, Julius Rosenwald, Pierre S. Du Pont and Henry Phipps) on the first ever Forbes Rich List with an estimated personal fortune of $50-million. She inherited "Kirkside" the Flagler mansion at St. Augustine in Florida. She was married three times and had two children by her first marriage to Dr. Lawrence Lewis, twice (through his mother and great-grandmother) a direct descendant of U.S. President William Henry Harrison.
