Ralph Warner Hickox (1850-1910)

Ralph W. Hickox, of Cleveland, Ohio & Paris, France

He was born at Cleveland and was educated at Harvard University where he was a member of the Hasty Pudding Club. He returned to Cleveland to work for the family milling business, Hickox & Co. and was Vice-President of the Hocking Valley Railroad. In 1879, he married Annie, daughter of Anson Stager, co-founder of Western Union and lived most of their lives in France, dividing their time between their two homes "Westwood" in West Cleveland and 78 Avenue Malakoff in Paris. He died without children at Lyons while on an automobile tour from Paris to Monte Carlo.
