Thomas Elwyn (1775-1816)
Thomas Elwyn, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire
He was born in England at Canterbury, Kent. He graduated from Oxford University (1794) and came to America the following year. In 1797, at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, he married Elizabeth Langdon, the only child of John Langdon, Governor of New Hampshire. Thomas died young but had nine children.
