Edward Powis Jones (1880-1927)

Captain E. Powis Jones, of New York City

He graduated from Harvard and Harvard Law School, becoming a lawyer of Jones & Carleton at 26 John Street, New York City. During the First World War, he served as a Captain in the 304th Field Artillery. He was a member of the Union and Harvard Clubs. He died of septic poisoning in Cortina, Italy. His funeral was held in New York and he left a widow and three children. His widow had grown up between New York and Blithewood, and still distraught after her husband's passing, killed herself.
