John Biddle (1736-1800)

He was a Collector of Excise at Philadelphia and remained loyal to the Crown on the outbreak of Revolution, pitting him against his own brothers. He served as Deputy Quartermaster in the British Colonial Army. His property in Pennsylvania was confiscated and he was granted land at Weymouth in Nova Scotia where he died. He was survived by his wife, Sophia, and two children.
