John Robinson (d.1651)

His elder son was Secretary of State for Virginia and the ancestor of the Robinsons who became prominent notably in Virginia, New York and Toronto. His younger son died childless but had secured the family fortune as Dean of Windsor, Dean of the Chapel Royal, Lord Privy Seal, and Lord Bishop of London.
