Luke Morris (1760-1802)
Luke Morris, of Philadelphia
He was a first cousin of Samuel Powel the Mayor of Philadelphia who built Powel House and his wife, Ann, was the niece of Mrs Elizabeth (Willing) Powel. He is not to be confused with his nephew (also his contemporary) Luke Wistar Morris who bought the Reynolds-Morris House in 1817.
