Her wedding (1863) was reported in the Gentleman's Magazine: "At St. Mary's, Birkenhead, Joseph Richard, second son of W.D. Busk Esq., of St. Petersburgh, to Mary Hamilton, fourth daughter of John Laird Esq., M.P., Birkenhead". She died at Newport, Rhode Island.
