Abraham Keteltas (1732-1798)

He officiated in three different languages (French, English and Dutch), preaching in Dutch and French churches in New York. He was also elected to the Provincial Congress. His sister, Jane, married James Beekman and lived at Mount Pleasant on Horn's Hook, Manhattan. Although Abraham was a staunch supporter of the American Revolution, he married Sarah Smith, sister of the Loyalist William Smith, Chief Justice of New York and Lower Canada. They had five children (listed above) and towards the end of his life he settled at Jamaica on Long Island.
