Edmund Henry Pendleton (1788-1862)

He was born at Savannah, Georgia. He graduated from Columbia College (1805) and after studying law was admitted to the Bar in 1809, practicing at Hyde Park, New York. He succeeded his father as Attorney-at-the-Bar for Poughkeepsie. He was Judge for Dutchess County (1830-1840) and was elected to represent New York in Congress (1831-1833) as an Anti-Jacksonian. He married Frances Maria Jones, daughter of John Jones III of New York City. In 1836, they travelled to Europe and on returning they spent the rest of their lives between their homes in New York City and Hyde Park. He died in New York City and is interred at Hyde Park. He died without issue.
