Margaret (Penn) Freame (1704-1751)

She was born in England at Bristol. In 1727, she married Thomas Freame, nephew of John Freame, co-founder of Barclays Bank. In 1733, he was granted the 10,000-ace Manor of Freame in Pennsylvania and in 1734 they came out to Philadelphia where their only daughter - Philadelphia, Viscountess Cremorne and Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Charlotte - was born. They returned to England in 1741 where she died ten years later at Jordans in Buckinghamshire.
